MATCH Corps:

Cohort XX

Erica Da Costa

Ms. Da Costa is from Brockton MA and attended Lasell University where she received a double bachelor's in legal studies/law and public affairs with a minor in public relations. She is very excited to join Match because she strongly believe in public service that works to better future generations. She hopes to further her education and earn a JD which motivates me to serve underrepresented communities due to the significant decrease in available resources and systematic disadvantages. Prior to Match, she was a full-time intern in Legislative affairs for the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. Aside from school and work, I love to travel, read books, and just enjoy what life has to offer.

Kira Ewoldt

Ms. Ewoldt grew up in Las Vegas, NV. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has also traveled abroad to conduct research that focused on amplifying youth voices. She is eager to serve the students at Match and learn from them, too! Ms. Ewoldt enjoys reading (many different genres) and exploring the world.

Alessandra Garcia

Ms. Garcia grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Arizona State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Ms. Garcia has always had a passion for working in education, and is eager to meet and work alongside students and their families. In her free time Ms. Garcia, enjoys spending time with her dogs, reading, and attending concerts.

Lorraine Hernandez

Ms. Garcia, a first-generation Latina student, passionately pursues psychology and mental health advocacy. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Idaho before embarking on an enlightening trip to London, comparing healthcare systems between the US and UK. This experience revealed the pervasive stigma surrounding mental health, especially in minority communities, and inspired her to establish a non-profit organization offering mental health support to underprivileged areas. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Psychology, she aspires to become a clinical psychologist, committed to enhancing the well-being of those seeking mental health assistance. Lorraine nurtures a love for travel that broadens her horizons to diverse cultures and her love for food. She eagerly anticipates guiding her students, empowering them to overcome generational barriers, develop essential skills, and cultivate the confidence necessary for their educational futures.

Monea Robertson

Ms. Robertson is from Wilmington Delaware and grew up in Bear. Monea attended college at Wilmington University where received a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications. As she joins the Match community she is looking forward to connecting with students and gain more experience in the education field. Prior to Match, Monea completed service with the Mental Health Association as a curriculum developer and designer through Public Allies. Her passion is Photography and she hopes to fill the gap and connect education to creative arts.

Megha Malik

Ms. Malik grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada, Reno for her undergraduate studies. She double majored in Biology and Anthropology with a minor in Art, and hopes to go into Museum Studies with a focus on South Asian Art and Culture. Her favorite book is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez, and her favorite band is the Strokes.

mars villegas-mcfadden

mars grew up in Northern Virginia. They attended Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, earning a degree in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Women's Gender and Queer Studies. While they were completing their studies, they also accumulated experiences working in and managing coffee shops, and hope to open their own. In the meantime, they look forward to getting to know, teach, work, and bond with the students at Match. They are incredibly passionate about their course study (Ethnic Studies/CRT) and hope to apply and share that lens in their work with the students at Match.
